Re: Problem after replacing convertible top hydraulic lines
Jim, lets try again on your issue. I have tried 3 times now and have written a long story which is dropped by the system and message lost, all 3 times. Very upsetting!!!!!!!! SOOOOOO, it is now short and sweet. Check your fluid valves (solinoids) for correct operation. Secondly DID YOU REINSALL YOUR...

Re: Anybody ever tried -
Alan, a little terse in responce, but fully support your comments. (You got the message across.) YES the spring must be caged and operator protected. It needs to be known, to get the right shaft offset it is best done on the bench and the dimensions of spacing are important. ALL stated in the shop m...

To document further and check some points of interest, the VIN plate needs to be provided.
With few photos, it makes it hard for one to show interest.

Re: 1966 Bird right side hood hinge
As Terry is indicating, the pivot pin has a large size on one side, and the 2 strike "+" peening on the other side. It is the peened "+" that has worked loose, but can be rewelded with some care and by a good machinist. It also needs to be known that the large side is "keyed...

Re: 1966 Bird right side hood hinge
Also check your hinge pivot pins for warn or loose rivets. It is a sign that they may fail soon, and you will damage the hood.
If the hinge has not been adjusted, but the hood is elevated, this is a sure sign that the pins are loose.

Re: Replacing temperature sending unit
Pls remember every car is different as the gauges are not digital but 50 year old analogue. A 5 to 10 percent difference between every car is normal, as they are temperature responsive, and fed on a 5/6 volt feed, controled by a resistive voltage feed. I have found that a hand held lasar temp sensor...

Re: 4 t birds and a lifetime parts collection auction. Winner take all.
I was sent an email of the Auction listing from a Heather Krill from Pamala Rose auction company. contact them for more info.
Be aware that not all of the VIN numbers are attached,
The auction is a ONE Lot offering, so it is buyer takes all.
It may be the steal of the century, at the right price.

Re: Left side brake light is intermittent 64
Without digging into my history books and notes, my memory tells me, and with some time checking the wiring diagrams, you will find that the 4 way Hazard switch is in the circuit controlling the brake light feeds. Check the the dash 4 way switch, the contacts may not be making a good connection. Cyc...

Do you by chance have the Safety Convience Package in your car? This can be part of your problem. Will not confuse the issue if you do not have the Safety Pack.
