There are no orginal style switches availabe you should be able to rebuild your switches.

You can install the drivers side power switch on the right side of the seat frame so it is correct the wires will have to be cut between the switch and the plug and switched around to get te revese operation.

If the thermostat is in backward the engine will overheat if it is not overheating it is OK. Yes you do need the thermostat even if you only us the car i warm wheather, it helps to regulate the water flow so it does not move to quick through the radiator.

Bob I have a right hand mirror on my 65 it is NOS it comes with the template to install the mirror. The mirrors where factory and dealer installed I think most where added at the dealer, when factory installed they where placed as per the template. when dealer installed they may have been placed any...

1965 Hood Pads

The OFS does state that the 3-pcs. 64 style pad was used until mid 65 production I have seen a very orignal late 65 with the 3-pcs. pad and have heard of early cars with the 5-pcs. pads my own 65 built December 1 64 had the 5 pcs. pads or what was left of them when I purchased it in 1995.
