Re: Carb Upgrade

I know you already bought your carb by now, but for anyone else still looking to buy I recommend the Summit 600 carb. It's a good price for what you get. saenz, thank you but my car is running so well now that I decided to postpone replacing the old autolite. But if/when I do, I will certainly look...

You are more likely to find the modification info on the modified forum further down the forum.
Yea, I figured that (but there are many posts on the subject HERE).

Followup on Electric Fans

Guys, I have read most of the threads here about adding an electric fan, including switching, wiring, relays, etc. My car is a '62 a/c car with shroud and 7-blade mechanical fan. The a/c is non-working (condenser removed). Now that I have resolved my non-working temp gauge issue, I want to get ahead...

Thanks, ICON - just ordered one (tried to order one from Birds Nest yesterday, but my anti-virus blocked it)

Re: signal flasher

:n00b: Flashers and fuse locations can be found in the Owner's Manual. If you don't have one of these, reproductions are available through T-bird parts vendors who help support the VTCI Forum. Having this is virtually a must-have if you're going to own your car for any period of time, as is the Sho...

Re: 12 Volt Switched Hot For Aftermarket Gauges

Austin, back on the main (non-modified) 61-63 forum, I posted about powering for the OEM gauges and another post for powering an electric choke. Firstly, no idea about your aftermarket gauges, but the stock temp & fuel gauges only use 5v (stepped down from 12 via an IVR, which is behind the cloc...

Re: Wiper Motor Access

Steve The 61 and 62 have electric wipers the 63 has hydraulic wipers that runoff the power steering return line. The electric wiper motor can be accessed by removing the speaker grille and speaker, not easy but can be done. The 63 hydraulic system is installed under the cowl air intake panel. OK, I...

Thanks, Geoff - but sure was simple to go about a foot, straight back to the pwr window relay on the firewall (maybe your car doesn't have them?).

Re: Wiper Motor Access

Alan, are you sure about that? (I should know, that's the WRONG QUESTION, to ask you Lol!) Seriously, after you replied, I went out to look at my 61 parts car - I had salvaged the front cowl a couple years ago, for my 62. After digging out all the leaves, I saw that the are 3 'cutouts' in the under-...

OK, great - is it something external (bolt on), or do you have to crack the case?

Wiper Motor Access

Guys, what's the best (easiest) way to access the wiper motor, for removal/replacement? (asking for a friend)

Re: C6 into 62 (revisited)

It firms up the shifts a little to save on clutches/bands and gives it a slightly better shift "logic". IIRC, it increases pressures under certain circumstances. The trans feels more "crisp" - if that makes sense. The difference is very subtle though. OK, thanks again, Scott - s...

OK, I couldn't find it, because it was on the Modified forum.
