OK Steve. That's a great lead. I'm stretching out now for a day of dashboard yoga.

OK, Scott, you really know how to explain things; the wiring diagram blinds me, but you bring it to life. Also, a self-correction. The NSS is also a clever catalyst for the brake-release vacuum system, and back-up light system, neither of which I have, of course. Hope my repop switch is one of the w...

Also worried about repop NSS

Thanks Scott, David, Steve. You're all adding clues to the question...tell you how I think about it: Looked for a disconnected wire fitting near the location, but either that original wiring has been amputated and capped off, or more likely, re-wired directly to something (like coil, maybe or...?). ...

Ginger's got no NSS--ouch!

She starts in any gear. Special, eh? Having just spent a week of evenings gutting and replacing all the old column parts I now have a slick shifter operation and I feel I can install and adjust my own new neutral safety switch (on the UPS truck now). What I don't know, being a shade-tree elec...

Hey, after this amount of time he's got jell-o brake fluids, rotting seals everywhere...general lot rot. Maybe he'll accept a discounted offer. And another thing, with all the great, classic 50's music available at probably really cheap royalties by now, not to mention the public domain, why the hec...

Merry Christmas

Update: the car is still listed at a new HIGHER price. This guy could use a few basic lessons in market manipulation.

Ever wonder if he has no intention of selling cars and this is some front for something else...

Cruise 'em if ya got 'em.

I live in Seattle, and drive a lot for business around the town. I bet I see one per week. Seriously, today I saw a new (new to me) Regatta Blue '58 cruising around Lk. Washington; earlier this week a saw a white "bullet" in Bellevue cruising by, another Chalfonte Blue "bullet" h...

correct fuse?

I've learned not to "over-fuse" when I'm missing the correct fuse! Does anyone know the proper fuse for the emergency flasher for a '64? Shop manual does not specify (says "spare or emergency warning"--but no rating). Osborne electrical diagram confuses me. Is it a 20amp? On the ...

Ginger's red top

Thank you, sir. This is the kind of information I sought when I joined this thing. Regarding your window advice: sounds like the hard way is the only method that exists; rather less simple than the front windows which have accessibility, or more so. Also, thanks for the advice on the roof rail weath...

I see your in Seattle, I'm still thinking about finding some sort of club in our area but haven't had much success finding one. Are you affiliated with any group? Good luck with your new Bird! Scott Scott, Glad to get your advice on roof rail. No, not involved in any groups. But I did meet a couple...

New user--saving a nice Tbird

First, thanks to each one of you. Reading and reading for the last two months, I've figured out how to repair/replace switches, actuators/seals, hoses, weatherstrips, trim pieces, glass, master cylinder, suspension parts, and peculiar "spit and bailin' wire" fixes from the PO's. Think I've...
