It could be. These cars are puzzle pieces sometimes. Sometimes late 61s will have parts that were intended for 62s just like crossover parts from 62-63 so it is possible, if it is a late run 61, for it to have a 62 style tank. That is what makes it such a PIA to get the right parts.

It's had some work done but that is expected. I am sure it was a US import. Who knows, maybe a service member took it to England and left it there. Chrome dress up kid obviously isn't 'original' although it could have been a dealer added option. Engine block is wrong color, It still is a pretty car.
