The two ball bearings in each side are actually what the seat rides on. I believe the spring steel that you are talking about are the races that the ball bearings ride on. Memory fades on which one, but I had to grind off one of the pins that hold the assembly together so it could be taken apart. Yo...

I have been working on everything, horn is latest on the list. The horn now reinstalled, only blows when the left side of the horn ring is pushed.
