I fully agree with Paul 2748, I also forgot to tell you that a portable fire extinguisher should always be in the car for a just in case....

You might try E Bay to find used manuals, It's too late to say that before you tackled this task ,you should have had the manuals, take pictures or most importantly ask this forum before. We do had members that are experience on working on the their classic's. We don't mean to offend you in any way,...

I have air shocks on my 56 rear end, my car sits 24". which is the suggested height. I feel that the coil over shocks would bring the rear end higher. This would spoil the esthetics of the car.

Is your car in great driving condition to drive from New York to Florida? Would a trailer be an option for you that is has a entire cover.If your thinking of a "car cover material" this would only bring the attention for someone's curiosity. and may I add that when it rains you would need to dry out...

My 61 had the same issue there was a gap"space" between the back drivers side, I took it to a body shop near my house, They were able to adjust the door and weather strip....

There could be different sinarrows about the parts you acquired from the internet, One could be the ball joints could be from China, What manufacture made the bearings. You can benefit as a daily driver as long you keep up the maintenance, Also keep an eye on the electrical wiring.

That looks great ! I like how it hugs the shape of the top which keeps the dust and cob webs out from the interior. Perfect for storage during the summer months....

That was wise of you doing the rewiring, considering that the wires are very brittle . Old wires can start a fire .

When I had my 61, the red lens for the emergence brake was missing due to age, I was able to go to Hobby Lobby store if you have one or any hobby shop and find a red plastic sheet you will have to cut out to make it fit and glue it carefully. That's what I had to due. and it worked out perfectly.

Welcome and Congrats on your first classic. I strongly urge you join the VTCI and CTCI . The knowledge you will get is worth knowing your car's performance.
