Although I think Casco still sells the baffle, I've read that it can actually make your engine run hotter.

Certified Rebuilders remade my switch years ago and I’ve got Andrew Pines solid state relays. It is now as reliable as one of these can be I suppose. Mine was a basket case when I got it. If you work in Concord, where do you live? I’m in Livermore.

I did wire it open. Thinking flap maybe be broken off in side. Since I live in SoCal not really needed. Might just remove and place a spacer in line.
Good choice. You don’t need it in SoCal. I deleted the valves on both the 55 and 57 during the restos. No downside noticed. This was in Anchorage.

... at all)He was saying that the heated intake vaporizes the fuel to much and that the engine needs a little more liquid at speed and pushing it ... if you have to remove the intake,which it is far from that in my experience.Now i do live in the south and our summers get super hot and humid.
