Re: engine bay questions
Scott, happy to see you got your AGM reproduction battery. I got my 27F from CJ Pony Parts. They had one left at the time. Were 24F for non AC cars and 27F for AC cars? That lettering paint job looks great!! My wife is an arts and crafts pro so I might ask here to do it using the paint/roller info you ...

Re: Replace my Autolite 4100 with a Holley
... I’ve had one that ran great, I’ve also had one that ran terrible even after rebuilding it. Carburetors run on black magic and my skills in the dark arts are very limited.
The nice thing about the Holley 4150 style carb is that it is adjustable in a million ways and that is also the crappy thing ...

Re: Did All FE-engined TBirds have a block spacer plate?
No ball this year - plus I've never attended an AIA National convention, and I'm not sure they still do that kind of thing (though we did have Beaux Arts balls when I was in college over 30 years ago). I prefer going to VTCI conventions and larger car events, though I rarely get to such things from ...

Jim I can appreciate what you are saying about the white showing on the tape , but like Arts photo one can clearly see the black on the tape and over the years it's exposure to the elements does tend to bleach the black colour out . On my pieces of the tape they are covered in years of dust, dirt ...

... remember when I owned a red interior 62 Landau in the late 1960's. I got some color samples from original Auto interiors and color matched them to Arts original 62. Art tells me they were spot on. I'am saying be careful of the red color and that Original Auto Interiors have the right color.

Re: thinkin' outloud
... myself...I've always been a bolt-on kind of fellow to begin with. I do have a local race-car fab shop nearby that dabbles in the obscure, black arts of vintage morphing...they're costly, to say the least.

... was very pricey!
I got the interior upolstery from Original Auto intreriors. Again pricey but really nice. I color matched the interior color with Arts original car from an unexposed area. He said it was right on. I then had SEM paint company custom match the interior dye/paint to the upolstery. It ...

Look at the activity my question about the trunk light got, or Arts radiator clamp questions. Not too many new faces however.

... early "See Clear" washer bags. There are ones for the 50's Fords but the outlet tube at the bottom on these are on the side and as you can see from Arts pictures the proper 'See Clear" bag has an outlet in the center bottom. If you have a late 62 car its not an issue because they are reproducing that ...

... 71 Original Factory Specifications Manual? This is something I don't recall having seen on the cars I have photographed to date.
