Attached are the vacuum diagrams for 1964 to 1966 that I put together some time ago. Perhaps they will help.

Re: 57 LIST 1273 Holley Carb Rebuild ECZ V
All least they are far thinking enough at Holley Corp to make sure we know their customer service rep wants to be addressed as "she/her". For me this is a "Bud Lite" moment of corporate misunderstanding.
I strongly disagree with you, to put it mildly. (Which is why keeping our personal politics ...

Re: 57 LIST 1273 Holley Carb Rebuild ECZ V
I had my 1273 rebuilt by the Holley Custom Shop a couple of years ago. Sorry but not surprised to hear that it has been discontinued: when I was working with them a couple of years ago, I got the definite sense that that service was likely to be phased out sooner rather than later.

My '65 has always been very light. I think that is the nature of the beast.

Re: Vacuum lines
Is it the same for the 66?
Is this question, for the vacuum lines one in which, "only The Shadow knows"?

Re: Updated Vacuum Line Diagram
Lee, your diagrams posted here are wonderfully terrific. Thank you for your careful and generous work to prepare and post them. I am working through the vacuum system on my 1964 Thunderbird now, restoring the vacuum controls for the AC and heater. Also working on the vacuum controls for the door locks ...

Need fender turn signal indicator lenses
I need both left and right amber lenses for the '65-'66 fender mounted turn signal indicators. The usual sources don't seem to have them. Anyone out there have a nice pair available?

Re: Battery Availability
Hi Lee,
I agree that Interstate online shows it is available. It took at least a month to get one of the two that they had in stock in Dallas to me in Iowa. I was told that they had no plans to replace that stock.

Spark plug condition anomaly
... running engine. However plugs 1 and 5 (the first and second plugs in the firing sequence) had black soot, indicating a rich mixture. Compression test on all cylinders were 150 lb +/- 5 lbs. The engine runs well and idles smoothly.
So what would cause two cylinders on separate banks to run rich?

Re: Brake Booster Install
... for me as UK-Tbird mentioned. And, redthundervert64, you must have very small hands to get the box end wrench up there :fadein: . I ended up using a deep well socket, a universal and a 10" extension to get to those four nuts. The one thing I did do right was to remove the driver's seat first.

Re: 1955 Distributor and vacuum advance ?'s
First, the vacuum canister should not spin. May be hard to find a replacement.
I know of two DISTRIBUTOR rebuilders:
Lou Sumas 440-439-5628
Lee Johnson 812-598-8965
Haven't had any dealings with Johnson, Sumas did a couple for me and no problems.

Brake Booster Install
I'm getting ready to replace the master cylinder and brake booster in my '65. While it seems straight forward, are there any hints, cautions, etc. that you might pass along to me before I start?

Re: An Introduction
@Lee,
Thanks.
And many thanks for that vac diagram. I grabbed one from tbird ranch (I think) but it covered 64-66, so it was a little bit confusing. Your diagram is so much easier to understand.
I checked my intake manifold fitting, and I only have the one port (going) to the vac reservoir, but I ...
