Certified Rebuilders remade my switch years ago and I’ve got Andrew Pines solid state relays. It is now as reliable as one of these can be I suppose. Mine was a basket case when I got it. If you work in Concord, where do you live? I’m in Livermore.

... Alternatively, I called jon brewer who can rebuild the original? Also, there’s that fella in New Jersey who rebuilds these at ‘certified rebuilders’.

+++1 on Certified Rebuilders. I sent mine there over 10 years ago and it works great. Don't try a DIY repair! I was an electronic tech and tried the rebuild/repair one on my own back in the day...Wasn't worth the time and effort at all, since it failed anyway. They do replace known weak, failure prone ...

Certified rebuilders has developed parts and tools to properly rebuild the upper back panel limit switch. I have one and I believe it is better than new -- as promised. All the details are on the website: www.certifiedrebuilders.com
