Re: Transmission Rebuild Kit
Try Fatsco transmission Parts. 1 800 524-0585. They provided a complete seal kit for my 62 Cadillac. Dave

Re: Wiper arm set needed
Dave, Thanks for the ideas. I purchased a nice set off a 1962 Galaxie. The eBay guy said it the same as the 1962 Thunderbird. It was one inch shorter in the arms. It also had 15” blades. The chrome ends was very nice and the rest is stainless steel and polished up nicely. I used the 16” blade. And a...

Re: Wiper arm set needed
Thanks BBP for your information. I am a retired AA P. I eBayed a 64 ford galaxy and the wiper arms and they were 1” short. Just like you said. I am still looking for a real nice set. Dave

I need a set of wiper arms and blade (16”) holder. Can I use a 1964 (15”) set? I can not find a repo set anywhere. Dave

Re: 1962 headlights are really dim.
Thanks Alan. I have all the manuals and restoration manuals. The car was (badly) restored in 2012. Unfortunately the restoration shop hired wrench turning mechanics! I am no ace mechanic but some of the work was unbelievably poor. Dave

Need 12 volts to coil 1962
How’s the best way to get 12 volts to the coil with the ignition switch on all the time? How can I permanently by pass the reduced volts that go to the coil? Going with electronic ignition. Thanks Dave

1962 headlights are really dim.
My 1962 T-Bird headlights are really dim and near yellow looking. It’s a generator car that charges normally. The light bulbs look new. Dim or bright doesn’t seem to matter. You can’t see anything with them. All the rest of the lights look normal in brightness. Thanks Dave

Trans shifting question.
I do not know if my transmission is shifting into third gear or not. If I have the transmission in D2 and going down the road at 50 mph and I move the lever to D1 nothing happens the RPMs don’t change the speed doesn’t change. I don’t know if it’s shifting to third or not because of the no results f...

Re: Disc brake conversion with 14" wheels?
I don’t have a steel wheel or I would put it on my car to see if it fits or not. I agree with your thought. Dave

Re: Disc brake conversion with 14" wheels?
I purchased my 62 with disk brakes and stock 14” wire wheels. I was told it was a ABS kit. I also installed 2 ABS sets in my 1962 Cadillac and my son 1961 Cadillac. Dave

Stock trim?
I am trying to understand the stainless trim strip that goes the full length of the car. Most 62 have the trim. Some don’t. Why and which is correct for stock? Thanks Dave

PS reservoir gasket on a AC car
I need to know if a gasket between the cap and wing nut normal? My 1962 has a round stair step gasket between the cap and washer. Should there be one? The PS rebuild kit direction does not show one. Thanks Dave

Re: Seat shield
To start with I have never had anodized work done. Now with that said the 1962 Cadillac grills are anodized and the club guys told me that oven cleaner would remove anodized coating. YouTube has a few stripping ideas. Dave

Door frame plug
On the drive side of the door frame is a 2” hole that needs a plug. See photo. Is it rubber or steel and if steel do they sell them?

Re: Part ID please.
The pump has no electricity to it so it didn’t work. No wires around the area to be used on it. I removed it with no change in car. Dave
