Re: Front Suspension Rebuild Costs???

So how much did you end up spending and what all did you replace?

Quoting out my 62 this week for a front end rebuild. At min I want to do the front suspension as it’s developed a bad squeak as it slow rolls down the road from the front end.

Re: coolant leak from transmission cooling line?

Those rubber freeze plugs will work just fine. If simply tightening it doesn't cure the leak, it may indicate that the plug is damaged from initial overtightening, using an unnecessary sealer, or poor quality rubber. Commonly available Dorman plugs are made in China, harder to find E-Z Seal plugs a...

Re: coolant leak from transmission cooling line?

Go back and re visit your leak. Ether it’s coming from the radiator and running down the line or up above. Transmission lines cool aft at the radiator. Cliff So I got it up on ramps as I type this and see that my aft driver freeze plug is slowly leaking. leaking enough to drain my overflow reservoi...

coolant leak from transmission cooling line?

Good afternoon all, it looks like my '62 T-bird is leaking coolant from the transmission coolant lines. I always thought that transmission fluids were in these lines and not coolant, but I guess I was wrong? has anyone changed these? I can find them on the birdnest for under $100 and they seem easy ...

Re: 1962 T-Bird air filter

Assuming you're in Detroit, there's a place in Windsor that carries parts for 55-66 Tbirds. I'm going Monday to pick up a power steering pump. If you order it, I'll be happy to pick it up for you and bring it by Monday afternoon. If you want it shipped there's usually a couple week delay for border...

Empty dash hole near ignition?

Okay you t-bird experts. What is the empty spot to the left of the ignition on the dash?

Picture circled in yellow. Just going out the metal hooks on the side towards the back is a coat hanger.

Re: 62-3 M code T-Bird original owner for sale

I believe there is plenty of interest here in the forums! That is a beautiful car. you can do some research online to come up with a fair price, but being an M code, I believe 35K or above is on target for a price. i would be interested in it but i just got a 62 that im working on.
