Re: Efi ready fuel tank
Anyone else have any luck? I've got a Holley Terminator X Stealth 2x4 that I'll be installing, and am also having difficulty finding a tank.

Re: New Project-Traction Masters
Apologies for digging up this old thread, but I'm looking to install traction bars on my 62 Convertible and the link doesn't seem to include any Tbirds outside of 55-57. Does anybody have a resource for our application?

Thanks for the response Claybreaker; I'm going to give this a try this weekend so we'll see how it goes. Thanks again!

Re: LED HEADLIGHT UPGRADE
I guess most that drive their car into the evening hours probably upgraded to halogen headlights, without knowing what I was getting into, I bought LEDs to upgrade my very dim, and probably 40-year-old headlamps. I had them 2 years already and at the time I first got them, I saw there would be a lo...

Re: Rear Bumper Q Rubber filler
The rear bumper removal is not very difficult. Just look underneath and you'll see four bracket bolts. On either side of the license plate there are two more bolts. You will probably have to wiggle the bumper out once the bolts are removed. Have a couple of jack stands ready to support the bumper a...

Re: Door peak molding removal
I was able to install the door peak molding leaving the push button and latch assembly in place. Used a telescoping magnet to hang the nut on the stud, reached up with my fingers and threaded finger tight and used a 1/4" drive shallow socket with a universal adaptor to tighten. It went quickly...

Re: 62 Axle/Diff tag decoding
I’ve searched all over and have been unable to decipher what the information on this tag means. Specifically, can you tell from this if it’s a 9in? I don’t have a door tag and was hoping this would help. Also, any idea what the “1lb” is all about? I’d greatly appreciate any insight you may be able ...

Re: 1963 Thunderbird Convertible Restomod Project
Awesome, thanks for the insight. I'm going to talk with a couple car restoration shops in the area (Dallas/Fort Worth) and see what they can do with this information. Thanks again.

Re: 1963 Thunderbird Convertible Restomod Project
Well congrats on the impending retirement! Sticking a Coyote in there will be really something else and just awesome. Your project really struck me as I would like to put a 427 SOHC in my 62, however it's 5 inches wider than a typical 427, so the shock towers and/or suspension would need to be modif...

Re: 1963 Thunderbird Convertible Restomod Project
I realize this is a very old thread, but did this project ever get completed? I'd love to do this on my 62 (though I have zero skill in this department and would need a shop to do it), and am very interested in seeing how it all turned out.

I have a 62 that I want to do the exact same things to lol, but I'm at least 6mo or more away from beginning that process. I look forward to following your progress.

Cutting out Shock Towers
Has anyone successfully cut out the shock towers? I have a 62 and am looking at slowly building (due to budget) a 427 SOHC from Pond, but as you can see here , the SOHC is 5 inches wider than your typical 427 and would not in anyway fit the stock engine bay. Is this a lost cause or is there some sor...
