Member Number
Hello - everyone. Where do I find my member number? I looked at my profile and generally looked around on the VTCI website and I can't seem to find it any where. As always thanks for the help.

Re: Transmission dip stick oring
Well - what I ended up doing is putting an o-ring in the recess on the pan at the bottom of the threaded hole and a second o-ring on the shoulder of the threaded plug. So far no leaks! Thanks for helping.

Transmission dip stick oring
Hi - I was changing the transmission filter and gasket on my 65 Thunderbird. There was no oring on the flared tubing going into the side of the pan for the dip stick. The previous owner had used Teflon tape and it was leaking. I see in the manual there is supposed to be an oring but it does say wher...

Re: Problem after replacing convertible top hydraulic lines
All thank you for your posts. My problem was that I was jumping off the circuit breakers mounted just behind the back seats facing the deck lid above the relays. I was afraid of the big spark I would get jumping to the bus bar to power the cycles. It took me several days of trying all kinds of stuff...

Re: Convertible top
I recently did this to and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be in terms of a mess, but as said above more rags the better. I replaced them all at once, but did remove the rams from the deck lid and the top. I used a jumper to run each cycle. The mistake I made was that I was afraid to j...

Re: Problem after replacing convertible top hydraulic lines
Raven - I believe all those steps will work in the opening closing process at least they were before I replaced the lines. Right now I am focusing on getting the top lift cylinders fully extending and retracting using the jumper to activate them independently. BTW I switched the deck lift solenoid w...

Re: Problem after replacing convertible top hydraulic lines
Further update I tried using the "Hydraulic Solenoid/Top Pump Jumper Harness" described in the March April issue of the Scoop. It would only operate the pump and top lift solenoids for one or two seconds and then stop. If I disconnected and connected again same thing. I tried then connecti...

Re: Problem after replacing convertible top hydraulic lines
Raven I am sorry that you spent all that time sending PMs that have gone into never, never land. I am also going to cut and paste this into a pm to see if that works or not. I have ordered a new relay for the "smoker" but as set out below I am bypassing the relays for now trying to get the...

Problem after replacing convertible top hydraulic lines
I have a 65 and it was working when I replaced all of the hoses that were leaking in various spots. I did it 1 at a time so I am almost certain they are connected correctly. My Deck Lift and lower works fine after a couple of cycles. The top lowered into the trunk but now I can't get it to lift. I d...

Re: Fender mounted turn signal indicator
Ok I got the car back from the body guy and I am putting it back together. Yes the driver's side turn signal indicator black wire plugs into a yellow wire and the passenger side turn signal indicator plugs into a red wire that is behind the battery. Although the as said above the ground wire isn't n...

Removing Convertible Top Package Tray
Hi all - I would like to remove the rear window package tray on my 1965 Convertible so the rust can be repaired. It looks like I just take out about 4 bolts on each side from the heavy iron brackets for the convertible top hinges. But from reading some other posts about the tack strip holding down t...

Re: pertronix igniter
jtschug and everybody - thanks for the info. What type of relay did you use and fuse? How is it switched off with the ignition? Can you send pictures or a little wiring diagram? PS - I was trying to test the current to the coil currently (no pun intended) and I couldn't get my multimeter to work. It...
