Re: Fuse box and Wiring
These guys do quality work, though not OE it will be exactly like OE. I have used them in the past for a couple of smaller accessory harnesses and they were excellent. https://www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com/home/wire-harness-catalogs/1917-1974-antique-classic-foreign-domestic-wire-harnesses/ford-all-mod...

Re: Loose shifter w/ video
When I rebuilt my column ('65, out of the car) the bushing was completely missing, the rubber around the top bearing was goo, and the shifter itself was deeply grooved. All of that being said the alignment cone was in good shape. I would assume it depends on how long its been apart and the climate i...

Re: 1965 SPECIAL LANDAU Steering Wheel
So, as far as this discussion has gone starting on my previous post with my invoice, I guess I need to correct the strip on the woodgrain wheel on my 65 Landau to complete the circle. It needs to be reconditioned anyway so I'm not worried about it for now but when I do fix it I assume from this info...

Re: 1965 invoice data
My parts car is a base hardtop and has the mylar strip only on the bottom part of the wheel. The woodgrain wheel in my Landau also only is covered on the bottom portion but it doesn't look like it ever had anything it the groove in the upper part of the wheel though I've been working on it for a whi...

Re: 1965 invoice data
Hey Raven, I don't believe it's a special landau. For one it's a C paint code which is Honey Gold with a light ivy gold interior (58) and doesn't have the special landau badging. It does have a wood grain steering wheel (cracked) and the strip covers the bottom 40% between the spokes but there is a ...

Re: 1965 invoice data
Thanks Bob, I thought it might be that it had the high dollar caps on it. I already rounded up a set of nice standard caps for what one of the deluxe caps cost online. Maybe I'll upgrade someday. Thanks JamesR; I actually bought it in PHX and like most cars of this age from phoenix, any and all viny...

1965 invoice data
I was able to get a copy of the original invoice from Marti and it lists "WH COVERS KO HUBS & SHIELDS" I know it means it had wheel covers and skirts but not sure about the "KO HUBS" portion. Does anyone have that information? My car had full size Ford fake spoke covers on it...

Re: Wanted: Optional low tone horn for '68 and '69 TBird
If you haven't found a horn, I probably have one on the '65 parts car I just got. I will look and see if it's good if you still need it. Also, they may be tunable so you can use either one, high or low, and just tune it to the pitch you want. The screw in the center of the curl is the adjustment. I ...

Re: Rear window molding clips
Well, good news. The very rusty parts car I bought down from the NE because the dash is pristine also had all of the correct reveal clips and they are in perfect shape. It seems everything on this car from above the floors up is in really good shape. It's a base model but has the studiosonic unit st...

I got 1 1/8" from the tip of the hood to the center tail feather. 2 3/4" straight down to the edge of the hood on both wing tips.

Re: Rear window molding clips
Yes stubbie I need about ten of those as well. The lengths the PO went to do this previous "fixup" badly is inconceivable. I had new carpet on a rusted out floorboard. There was a giant hole cut in the cowl to facilitate replacing the expansion valve which of course was one source of the r...

Re: Rear window molding clips
That's the one. I just wonder if the other ones we found would fit the molding like it's supposed to. I have no fear of drilling a small screw hole but if the molding don't fit...... I hope to be able to salvage some more of these off of my parts car if transport ever gets around to bringing it to me.

Re: fresh air vent rubber gasket
thanks stubbie, when I cleaned mine up for painting the stuff that was on it looked like the black rope caulk that 3M makes only it was very hard but I was hoping to find the seal like in the picture. That's not saying that what they show isn't a squishable type gasket kind of like a toilet bowl wax...

Re: Rear window molding clips
stubbie, I'll have to check it out when my parts car gets here. My headliner is good and I don't want to dig into it yet. David, I saw those but they take a screw to attach. The originals snap in to a square hole in the roofline. Maybe some kind of a replacement? I don't know. These definitely won't...
