Yes, your redesign does look better, Mr. Tast. The window looks like it belongs there now.
I don't dislike it in that form, and on a practical basis, a little more visibility back there would be welcome.
I'm not really tempted to put one on mine, though. I do tend to like things stock.

Re: an interesting window modification from Craigslist
Just for curiosity, would it look better on a roof with the disappearing rear windows? The slope of it would at least agree better.

an interesting window modification from Craigslist
I'd always sort of wondered how a mid-70s opera window would look in the sail panel of a '66 with the town roofline. Well, here one is. It's interesting, but I don't think it blends in as well as I thought it would. https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/brighton-1966-bird-town-landau/7614043166.html

Re: Checking on registration?
Many thanks for the reply, Mr. Tast. I heard from Mr. Massey before I saw this--he assured me everything is fixed up.

Checking on registration?
I noticed the check I sent to Mr. & Mrs. Lieske for my Kansas City registration has not cleared my bank.
Is there a way to check on this? I see the 19th is the cutoff and it's right here.
Thanks!

Anybody else headed from the Southeast to Kansas City? Might be fun if we could have a little caravan.

Welcome! That's an interesting-looking 'Bird. I'm guessing it has the supercharged six in it?

Yes, thanks for the pictures and information. I've been thinking over the coating issue myself.

Re: Power window too fast
I've got no idea what's up (or down!) with this, but I do think it's the only case I've ever heard of where the window is too fast. All other window issues I can recall pertained to working too slow. So at least you have a distinctive problem.

Re: Cleaning Trunk Liner
As regards odor, my mechanic told me to put in a few charcoal bags. They are cheap and did really help get rid of that old car smell that I hadn't been able to whip. Just put a few around in inconspicuous spots. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Purifying-Activated-Freshener-Deodorizer-Eli...

I'm hearing you! I've been a member a couple of years and have never been able to get into the members-only area of this site.
No idea what the issue is, unfortunately.

A very breezy car for summer
There's no a/c on this one, but it has the very best flow-thru ventilation I've ever seen!

Re: Ever have this happen?
Think about the ignition switch. I had that go out and suddenly shut everything down as I was driving along. It didn't all come back in my case, though, although my mechanic said if I had wiggled the cables under the dash it might have. In any case, got a new igntiion and all seems well.

Town Hardtop vinyl?
This is the only Town Hardtop I've ever run across with a vinyl roof.
Was that factory? The way this one is pulling up makes me think it was maybe an amateur job.
