Here's a photo of the rubber seal on the 1964 air cleaner body. It's pretty common for this to be missing after 60 years.

Also including a photo of a 1965/66 air cleaner lid. The rubber seal on these air cleaners was located on the underside of the lid in the recess at its perimeter.

Sorry, but Argent is definitely far too silver in color. That is not the correct paint. Charcoal metallic or Charcoal Gray is what it's usually referred to as.
