Re: scarebird disc brake conversion
I'm interested in the drum to disc conversion also. If possible, can you provide a complete list of parts needed (m/c, hoses, clips, etc, etc, etc) TIA!!!

Re: Brake Light Bulb Replacement
WOW!!! Used the 1157R LED bulbs and what a nice difference. I always worry about those folks that "I didn't see any brake lights Officer".

Brake Light Bulb Replacement

1963 Landau Value ??
Very seriously considering selling my very well documented 1963 loaded with factory optional equipment with 127k miles. I'm thinking in the $22 - 23k range. Recent complete mechanical work on the brakes, trans, exhaust, and shocks. Lots of factory options include fully functioning a/c, power windows...

Re: A/C Drain Hose Location
I found it, but am surprised that it only about an inch long. It does not have a drain hose attached to carry the a/c condensed water down below the frame rails. It now drains on top of the transmission. Will look into putting a longer hose on it. Thanks!!

P/S Fresh Air Vent Hose??
1963 Landau w/factory ac. I'm assuming that on firewall, passenger side, upper area near hood spring, is a fresh air vent intake. Is this vent hose available or can another application hose be used? Thanks!!

A/C Drain Hose Location
1963 Landau with factory ac. Where is the drain hose located? There's a rather large hose that exits toward the front of the engine that I thought was the ac drain hose. After being test drive while it was on the rack being serviced last week, there was a somewhat larger amount of water flowing down...

COM Shifting Points ??
Had the COM professionally rebuilt on my 126k mile 1963 Landau. What typically are the shifting speeds from 1st to 2nd, and from 2nd to 3rd? Under "regular" driving conditions, mine seems to shift into 2nd around 10 mph, and into 3rd around 35 mph. If I don't come to a complete stop around...

One hose on each front wheel; but where is the "3rd" rubber hose? Thanks!!!Joe Johnston wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 8:29 am Possibly the rubber hoses in the system have deteriorated internally and not allowing fluid to freely return after pedal is released. Change all 3 rubber hoses to be sure. Easy and peace of mind if nothing else.

Re: Front Brake Noise ???
Used emery cloth on the inside of the right front drum (looked new; no ridges, scars, scuffs, etc) and on both of the shoes (10 years old, but only 5k miles). Reinstalled hub, tightened bearings, and adjusted "star" wheel to try to obtain even pressure to rotate wheels. Still slight pull t...
