Wow, I've never seen rot up behind the rear seatbacks like that. Have you probed along the "structural" elements of the unibody to ensure that the car is essentially sound? ~Steve yeah ... its not as bad as it looks .... the driver side wheel well etc... was rusted ... just have to cut it...

here is a " progress report" as such ..stripped it down to get it ready for dustless sand blasting .... u name it i too it off .... see for yourself let me know your thoughts and concerns ( r u crazy lol )

i think you guys got the wrong idea ... the " parts" car has a 351 w im looking to sell becuz i dont need it ... jsut using some parts from it for my project car... the 66 bird :)

Prior to body work, my car was media blasted. From the stuff I found in the deep recesses of my car, it was some kind of tiny plastic beads. Re: pulling motor & tranny is stuck :)
ran into a snag while pulling motor and tranny as one piece .... ( easiest imo and yes i have 2 tone engine puller :) hard to see how or what part of tranny linkages need to be removed/disconnected from tranny any suggestions greatly appreciated :)

Hi guys: hopefully u can help me figure this out .... other than the obvious of a dead coil dooooooh i got a " parts car " in the package and found out it has a 351 windsor motor that guy obviously replaced the original with ...... and was trying to get it started but no spark .... other t...

thanks for all the feedback i will keep you informed about my progress , my first step is too pull the power train and have talked to a shop about sand blasting the whole frame and some body too ... then will weld all the rust holes etc ..... i got a " parts car " in the package and found ...

tried postings pics but would not let me ...says too big ...what size they need to be ... then you guys can tell me what u think of my find :) i also got another parts car thrown in on the deal tooo for free ..... but its pretty rough ...

thanks for all the help and encouragement ...and warnings ..... been a ford man. backyard mechanic, doing right offs on and off for years .... so i know what im getting myself into ..... kinda, but not to this extent .... nice to know the insider / i wished i had known that info ..... btw what size ...

Just bought 1966 tbird for restore
I just bought a car i always wanted and finally got a 1966 tbird with 390 ... wheeeew now the fun begins restoring ..... what a mess .... now what any suggestions .... i was thinking pu;; power train out and already talked to guy about sandblasting frame and body as a starter my wife thinks im crazy...
