Re: Steering column black jumper wire
The you for the offer of the schematic. I have one and I couldn't find this jumper mentioned anywhere.
And also thank you for the offer of looking at the steering column.
I'm unable to post a pic. I keep getting a http error.

Re: Horn sounds constantly
Bob, I don't know if you resolved your issue but I just had the same problem after replacing the detent plate and turn signal switch. The black circular gear indicator plate, I believe is called the horn switch, has a spring facing the driver that rides on the back of the steering wheel as MN63 indi...

Steering column black jumper wire
Well, I was a bit over zealous digging into my steering column to replace the Turn signal switch. I removed the wire below from the steering column wiring. So it could be from the turn signal switch, horn wire, or the gear indicator bulb wire. This narrows it down to about 8 wires. Cardinal sin, I d...

Here's a pic of three of them. I think I have a fourth that you can have as well. I also think I have a new diaphragm. I would throw that in as well. All yours for free. Just pay shipping. Sounds like a late night infomercial.

Re: 1963 convertible lights
David I just went through this issue. my the tail light bucket had two bad grounds. Both the bucket to the frame and the bucket to the socket. I'm not sure what points you are measuring to take the voltage reading. Voltage is the difference in charge between two points. So if the terminal in the soc...

I have about 5 or 6 cores and I believe one new diagram. Im thinking one or two can be built from the old ones. You can have them all. Only would cost you whatever shipping charges are. I have an old post in the for sale section with pics.

Re: Who to get a front suspension rebuild kit from?
I've found 63 is easier to get front end parts than 61 62. Who ever you decide to buy parts from ask them who made them. Moog makes ball joints for your car. They also make a bunch of the rubber parts. This may be a case that sourcing from a couple of retailers is better that a kit. I will let other...

Downlow,
It may be obvious from your name but what year car do you have? There are front end parts that are different for 63 vs 61 62.

Re: aesthetically correct heater hose routing
Hello Bill Thank you for the reply. I double checked the electrical assembly manual. The drawing there has most of the detail I was looking for. It shows the heater hose crossing over the valve cover. Looks sloppy but it is what it is. It also shows two aluminum straps. Learned something new. I thou...

aesthetically correct heater hose routing
In my on going quest to get my 62 (non AC) as original as possible, last year I sourced and reinstalled the correct carb plate in the car. This obviously also entailed installing the missing y-pipe and additional heater hoses. Very pleased with my progress so far. And, technically speaking it's all ...

Re: Turn Signal Switch - NOS vs. reproductions
My apologies for resurecting such an old post. I getting ready to get into the steering column to replace my turn signal switch. I am trying to avoid using a new repop switch since the comments are overwhelming negative. Somewhere in this post it was mentioned that a C0DZ-13341 may be compatible wit...
