Re: 1967 tbird starting issue

usually it would be the transmission shifter to wiggle if it was the nss. but, still sounds like nss. i have a spare one i can sell you if you're doing a full resto. otherwise, there's ways of making it work.

Re: 1967 thunderbird coupe switches/buttons

looks like a work around to the ignition: switch for ready/accessories, push button to start; like on drag cars.

Anyone know how to check the transmission fluid level on a 67 tbird 390? I am going to use the type F - is this the correct tranny fluid type? Thanks.

Fuel leak at filter only when car has not been used in awhile

I have an odd problem with my 67 tbird, 390. On the first start after sitting for awhile the fuel seems to back up and leak around the fuel filter. I disassemble the fuel line connections to the filter and put it back together and then seems fine. Could the carb close up if it sits for awhile? An ai...

jacking the car

does anyone know what the best way is to jack up a 67 tbird without using the bumper jack which I don't have? i don't want to damage the frame. I want to change the oil and also need to know how to jack the car when I get a flat.

Re: New Member Long Time Thunderbird Owner

Nice note. I love the 67tbirds too, have a nice looking one that needs some hopefully minor things like wiper motors and fluid pump and may be engine mounts. Any help on this would be appreciated. Welcome back to the tbird world, a great world that it is.

Getting wiper motors going

Hello, I have a 67 tbird with the hydraulic wiper motors. The power steering has been redone. Does anyone know how to connect the wiper motors to the power steering pump to get the wipers going? Or, would it be better to go with a universal wiper motor kit – if so, does anyone know of any kit that w...

Re: removing wiper blades

Thanks, it works. I also sprayed in some wd40 -- really helped, plus I had a beer for extra will power and said to myself that I will not leave until it is off – took about 10 hours. hammer with a wood block or cloth covering the arm also helped.
