Re: Wire wheel covers

Thanks. I actually do not have skirts on the car. Although a pair of skirts came (unattached) with the car, they were never repainted as part of the restoration. I have read so much about issues with skirts that I never decided to get them painted and put on.

Wire wheel covers

7149C0C5-54CE-4AB0-BD59-4081EBFD0066.jpeg Hi I hope you are all well. I recently installed the clipless wire wheel covers over my dog dish hubcaps on my 56. I have radial tires. They look and fit great. Although they feel securely attached, I had wanted to connect them with zip ties. However, there...

Stone guard

Greetings I’m in the process of repairing some paint damage due to gas leaking out of the filler. I removed the rear stone guard from the continental kit on my 56 as that is where the gas puddled. I’m curious though, why would they paint the bottom of a stone guard as, it seems to me, it would surel...

Undercarriage detailing

I have a 56 that I drive when the weather and roads in NY permit. It’s a very clean well maintained driver. The undercarriage obviously has its share of dirt and grime however. Does it make any sense mechanically or body-wise to have it thoroughly cleaned occassionally?
Thanks

Vandalism

I’m driving from New York to Sarasota in May for the CTCI convention. I’ve been thinking about how best to secure my car at the hotels on the way down. Cover vs. no cover etc. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
