Air Cooled Trans vs Liquid Cooled
I have found an automatic transmission from a 1955 T-bird that I'm hoping to put in my '57. I'm not a stickler for originality so this will work for me. Other than the cooling set up, are there any other issues I should be concerned with? Are the physical dimensions the same as a '57 Ford-O-Matic r...

N. Carolina to SoCal?
Anyone happen to be traveling anywhere near this route in the near future?
I have a transmission in N.C. I need brought to Southern California. Happy to pay for your help.

Anyone interested in swapping their automatic trans for my standard trans?

So I am looking to trade my standard set up straight across for an automatic set up. I have the correct 3 speed transmission with overdrive, corr...

Rear Trim?
Having a little difficulty with the fasteners for the upper rear compartment trim on my '57. Attached is a pic of the piece I'm working with. Can someone please share a close up image or two of this area?
Thanks again, Greg

Engine Steady Rest Brackets
Hi Guys,
I am ready to install the engine in my '57 but I'm a little unclear on the steady brackets. They appear to fit either side and I've done an extensive image search without luck. So I don't know which bracket goes on which side of the block. Appreciate the help.
Cheers, Greg

Re: Idler Bracket
Yes, that is the same piece. I spoke with Bob at Larry's and he confirmed it is the PS bracket.

Re: I.D. This Transmission
Well, now that I realize how many parts I'm missing to complete this standard transmission set up; Flywheel Clutch set Clutch linkage Transmission mount adapter Correct shifter I wonder if it would simply be easier and more cost conscious to locate a Fordomatic 2 speed and put it all back to an auto...

Re: I.D. This Transmission
So this is not the correct transmission for this car?
I do not have a copy of the Concours catalog. Anyone here can possibly share a picture of the adapter plate?
Thanks, Greg
