I guess it depends on what you are going for. In my opinion the bottom should be as clean as the top. At least that is what I like.
Mechanically things just work better when they are looked after, detailed and lubed as they are supposed to be.

Re: Dashboard cover material
Thessler, As I said earlier I did mine myself. It would be very hard to do with out taking the dash out of the car. I tried it twice and made a mess out of it until I taked to the guys at CACSO. I ordered the dash covering and glue from them and it was still hard but much easier. It is imperative th...

Re: Dashboard cover material
I replaced mine last winter. It was a bit of a job but I had the dash out of it anyways. I'm not sure if you can get some sort of dye that will work. The dash cover is just standard vinyl.

marilyn monroe t bird
We were at a car show on the weekend and got talking to a guy that said he had a 2005 Marilyn Edition T Bird. The car was not at the show so I didnt see it. He said it was a special colour and had her name embroidered in the seats and other markings on the car. Said he had lots of documentation. Jus...

Re: 1956 TEAPOT LEAKING FUEL
That is the plug and seal for the needle and seat, I think the fuel is running down from the plug making it look like you have more leaking than you do. The carbs had a press in and a screw in style needle and seat. I believe the screw in style plug is smaller. Yours looks like the press in style fr...

Re: 1956 'Bird Batteries
I ordered mine from Battery Central SG29NPP It is a stock appearing battery. I think it looks better with the proper battery in the engine compartment. That being said it took months to get it. It was worth the wait but as I said long time coming.

Oil bath air filter
This might be a weird question. My 56 has an oil bath air filter. The car is all done now. Just wondering what happens if you don"t put oil in the air cleaner and just run it with the filter? Thanks

How much do you drive your car?
As I was posting on another topic it came to mind that I hardly ever drive our cars. I don't seem to have enough time. But when I do have time I would rather work on them, or clean them, that sort of thing. Just wondering about every one else?

Re: Finally got my battery!!
Our cars are hardly ever driven, not because I don't want to, because I don't seem to have enough time. I disconnect the battery completely.

Did you try tooth paste? Sometimes it will work. Get the kind with the whiting bleach stuff in it...
