Re: Disc brake conversion with 14" wheels?

If I remember correctly you have to use Granada wheels . Granadas had disc brakes. Kind of like trying to put a 64 wheel on a 65 or 66.

Re: Wiring 2 wires for my new 63 R&B Vintage AM/FM Radio

Can you post a picture or link to the model to see the wiring directions? There is a main power wire , adapt it to the cars radio hot wire. May have a memory wire you need to run to a constant power source at the fuse box or cigarette lighter as old cars did not have this. Just some basics.

Re: 63 bird running rough. Pls help

Ok it looks Grim. Here’s my thoughts , the 390 is a tough old gal. Been sitting 10 years? Before you condemn it Get out there and run it some. See what frees up. Throw a little atf or slick 50 or ? Run it ! Get it out , blow it out. Up to temperature, not just once. I don’t think you will hurt her ,...

Re: 4100 Carb leaking raw gas onto manifold

If this was mine , I would take off the power wire to the coil ( make sure it’s covered) take a remote starter button With key off , turn the motor over with lid off carb. And see if I could stop the overflow manually by pushing on the Needle / seat assembly. As that should be what happens. But that...

Re: 4100 Carb leaking raw gas onto manifold

My money would be bad float, or needle / seat. Or it’s not set correctly. You can check this without pulling it back off.

Re: Leaks from Museum 1963 M Bird.

I disagree. The car may not have had any leaks until it was ran some , temperature change and fluids got up to lubricant areas. Address the coolant leak and give the seal a chance to seal . Things soften back up with use and heat.

Re: Original rims

Ok there is a picture of my spare. And a picture of it on the car when I caught it being a 62 rim. Always rode good and ran it a long time before noticing. It’s now my spare tire rim. Hard to tell a difference if it’s not on the car. The other picture was a 65 15” rim with old proper size tire for a...
