Re: Alternatives to Chrome
This may get moved to the modified form. But , I think I get what your saying. Seems chrome shops are expensive And old school. If you paint it , I think you would give it An 80’s look , ouch! , seems some of these high end Car builders paint. I don’t like it. But have you seen This new style painte...

Re: Dash lights blow fuse
The first couple of things I would do, does the Fuse blow when the dash lights are turned all The way down and you pull the light switch ? I would also examine the fuse board more for Bad and shorted connections. Maybe try pulling Radio fuse before checking the dash lights. Another words, try to iso...

Basic tests like voltage drop under a load. And
Load test the battery ? Worst case , some parts
Stores will bench test the starter if your weak
On diagnosing electrical.
My thoughts

Re: Wire Wheels for 1962 Sports Roadster
Rocky , there are wire wheel hub caps that you have to look closely at to see if it’s real. Also if you haves flat with A tubed tire it’s not the same as a regular tire. I suggest You find your true number of spoke , proper wheel and tires for show. Run regular rims and hub caps or wire caps If you ...

Re: Inverted flare fitting
Karl , I measured the carb side of the fitting.
Seems it’s a 9/16 x 24. That size is not in most
Tap and die sets. But is easily available.
