Re: Soft Top rarity or curiosity?

Thank you OldMics! I am surprised that these were reproduced. Just seems to be a part that would have low demand and high cost to make. I know that you may not won't to say who that Vendor is, but I will search a couple of catalogs to see if I can find it. Thanks again. HAZ567 This might be an answ...

Re: Fuel Pump

I also have a 56 and installed a new I think it was a carter but I'm not 100 percent sure on that. Car ran fine until I layed into it a little and it would bog down like it was running out of gas. I went ahead and put in an electric fuel pump to supplement the mechanical and the problem completely ...

Re: Wire wheel covers

Thanks. I actually do not have skirts on the car. Although a pair of skirts came (unattached) with the car, they were never repainted as part of the restoration. I have read so much about issues with skirts that I never decided to get them painted and put on. I feel the skirts make the Iconic look ...

Re: 1957 T Bird Generator Light Glowing When at Idle

Hi, I agree with Joe. It's easier to just replace a belt and tighten it. The gen. work fine under normal use. But the belt tension will do it too. Good luck I did try to tighten up the belt,I also replaced with a new one . the Gen had aged through time. But with age I decided to go with the alterna...

Re: Wire wheel covers

I would worry more about the skirts, I had one come off a year ago, I did find a way to zip tie the skirts. I have the same Wire wheels covers. I NEVER had a problem as long as you make sure that they snap in tight. Make sure there's no gap between the rin and the other edge of the wire ring.
