Hi, all.
Has anyone put a dual bowl master cylinder on their bird. I want to keep the drum brakes but want to split the lines front and back. Anyone done this and if so what MC did you use. All help appreciated as usual.
Thanks a bunch,
Lester

Thunderbird83,
The part you want is #17528-B "bayonet" style blades. +/- $35.00 each. Available at all suppliers.

Re: what is the good mounting for wipper/arm on Tbird 56
Thunderbird83, What you have there is not the correct type of setup. The correct setup is the wiper blade and backing are one piece and slide over the arm. There is nothing attached to the arm. The arm goes into the wiper blade back like a dagger into a sheath. Hope that helps. You can get the corre...

Re: electric fans
How many blades does your fan have? You could try a 6 blade fan if yours is a 4. You could try a flex fan as well. You may need to space your fan closer to the radiator. Is your shroud in place? How is your radiator? CASCO sells a better pump that flows better and reduces cavitation which the stock ...

Re: E bird intake manifold clamps
Is the manifold aluminum or cast iron. All the suppliers sell standard type hold down clamps that are steel. Try CASCO, Tbirdhq, Concours, Parts, NPD.

Re: Load leveling shocks
goldwinghg, Have you checked to see if the spring spacer is in the left front spring? If not there is supposed to be a spacer for that very reason. It sits on top of the spring on the drivers side only. It is to compensate for driver, road crown, battery, steering box, etc. weight on the left side o...

Re: automatic transmission filter tubes
Priceg, Yes there are supposed to be two tubes, tried to send/post a picture of trans out of manual but either Version wouldn't cooperate or I don't know what. Tried from my wife's phone too but even that failed. Anyway as stated sounds like the rear pump tube is missing. Try Charlie Trans for a new...

Hi all, Could someone Please post a couple pictures of a 56 rear bumper. I need to see how high it is from the gravel shield and how far back from it. A close side shot and a top down shot would be a great help. Maybe a ruler in there if you could do it. I will be getting new brackets tomorrow, just...

Re: interior light switch replacement 55.
Paul, You need Three leads actually. One (green) goes to light switch "D" one (black) to a double connector and another black from the light itself to the same double connector ... see diagram: https://s7.postimg.org/aon4pwz0r/Map_light_circuit.jpg Hope this helps, Lester OOPS! Sorry it is...

I'd try blowing a can of carb cleaner and air through the lines and maybe take the pump off and clean it with carb cleaner as well. Changing the filter rather than cleaning it would be a good idea. I'd clean out the float bowls also. Basically go through the whole system from back to front. Just a t...

You could try putting a rag over the end and hit it lightly with some air. That is how I got mine apart.

Re: Muffler and Tailpipe Sealer / Mastic
Are you doing it yourself or taking it to shop. If you are doing it yourself, YES it is good to use a light film of it on the male connection. I had a problem connection that would not quit leaking until I used sealer. Pipes were formed well and the clamp was tight, just a pain to stop leaking. The ...
