I rang Bird Nest yesterday and Don said they did have some so I purchased a pair.
I was just seeing if anybody new if there were new ones, but according to Don there are none.

I don't think so Cliff. They have a step in the shape, a shim to me is just a flat piece of thin metal. Then again I could be wrong.

I am just looking at removing the dents and scratches.
I did my stainless steel trims some time ago and they turned out good.
Just looking if anybody else has done it and for any tips.

Has anybody had the aluminium side shields on the front seats re-anodised?
I am looking at knocking the dents out and sanding the shields back prior to having them anodised.

G'day. Maybe they are not closing properly and one is holding the throttle open slightly. They can move when you go to tighten the holding screws up. Did you take the butterflies out and remove the shaft?
Or they were left alone.
Also maybe the dashpot maybe holding the throttle open slightly.

Is the accelerator linkage holding the butterflies open? Try disconnecting the accelerator linkage at the carburettor with the small clip.
Do you have to move the lever on the carburettor to have the hole line up with the linkage?
