Re: Chinese radiators

Returning to this... I got my chinese GPI Racing aluminium radiator about a month ago. Installed it last weekend. Fits like a glove! Just dropped it in and every hole and fittings are in the correct place. Original bolts fit the threads. Original fan shroud and radiator support fit perfectly. Trans ...

Re: 1966 no power to AC compressor

When going through my under dash vacuum and a/c + heater I noticed that there is something weird above the a/c thermostat switch. Compairing to redstangbob's pic, it looks like I have something there that has burned or melted. I managed to snap a small bit of it. It does not smell burned but its sti...

Re: Temperature Regulator Valve

Hello all! I have been fighting with the vacuum system under the dash. Old hoses are dry and brittle. I'm putting new one's in and noticed the temp regulator valve has had it. It's wasted. I dont want to pull the dash out and the temp regulator valve is very hard to get to. I noticed that redstangbo...

Re: replacing Tbird logo on back center

I did this last fall. Had to remove the whole bumper. One of the screws holding the emblem was VERY rusty and I had to grind it off. I don't know if there are different types of new emblems. I bought mine from Concours Parts. Be aware! The silver paint / coating behind the emblem is very touchy. I p...

Re: Air vent cables

Thanks Paul! Actually I allready asked Concours if these heater / air vent cables are similiar. They answered: "This cable is 28" long." So I have to measure the distance from the switch to the vent and determine if it would work. I haven't yet opened the dash to check, just pl...

Air vent cables

Right and left side fresh air vents are operated with a cable between the dash switch and the vent itself. Jim Osborne manual shows two cables part number C4SB-6301891-F and C4SB-6301890-F. The passenger side cable is missing on my '64. Don't know why...? I have been browsing through all vendors but...

Re: Chinese radiators

Well that's what I also THINK about chinese "quality". Just the price that's very tempting. I asked the price for recoring my current leaking radiator and fell on my knees. 520 Euros, almost 660USD!!!!!!! Original style NEW radiator from Bird Nest 399USD + shipping. Not so expe...
