Re: Did any bullet birds come in black originally?

Greetings everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on this Forum and hope everybody is healthy and safe... Below is an image of my original Survivor in Raven Blk (Apr. 62 build date ('original' FoMoCo enamel as shot in Wixom)). It gives you an idea on 'patina' of the paint. Certainly not a clear c...

Re: My 1962 M-code T-Bird Roadster convertible arrived!

Congrats on finding that '62 M Cvt ! As I was reviewing your pics of that sweet Tbird, I noticed the VIN plate and saw that your '62 M and my '62 HT (Original) were "born" on the same date!!! 24D (April 24th, 1962). I attached an image of my own VIN plate so you can see what information wa...

eb88 - below are a couple of images from my 62HT 'Survivor' on the finishes for the screws for the cowl area, washer bracket, etc.: http://pic90.picturetrail.com/VOL2380/10489549/19002752/410497366.jpg If you carefully look at the image below, it seems the 'outermost' screw (on both the LH and RH si...

Re: Chalk mark

bulletbird - below is an image of mine on my survivor (62 HT) and it seems to have been put on by a Wixom line worker with a white crayon or grease marker... http://pic90.picturetrail.com/VOL2380/10489549/18763396/356097477.jpg the '114' doesn't correlate to anything on my ROT sheet also. kevindeluca66 - Hi Art, Long time no see. I know its my fault but the kids keep us way too busy at this age. Just curious as to how many miles do you have on your car? Hi Kevin, 'Grampa' has a little over 52K miles. BTW, I saw your parents at Del Rhea's Chicken Basket restaurant (with other members...

I just got off the phone with the gentleman...

He read to me C2SZ-1007-B. on the side if the boxes. He does not have the liners...

He opened one of the bixes and the rim was apparently mint.

I was told that the owner purchased the KH wheels from a Ford Dealer 50yrs ago but never put them on his Tbird. Let's say they're in mint condition and not a pi...

Also, the 'original' mirror on my '62 also has the correct 'date code' etched into the bottom of the glass that locks it back to that proper assembly timeframe.

Re: '62 Mystery Wires

I'm starting to sort out my '62 Roadster project and I'm unable to determine what the two black wires coming from this plug at the voltage regulator are for. They are both cut off coming out of the plug and there doesn't seem to be any corresponding wire to connect them to. As far as I can see, it ...

Jim, Real question...is the overspray on one side of the threads of the bolt holding the lower arm how it came from the factory originally? I can't imagine you missing that detail so I assume that is how it came from the factory so you mimiced it too. John John - interesting question... I checked s...
