Re: Forums upgraded from phpBB 3.2.5 to 3.2.7

Jim/Doug-

Sorry for the slow response....I don't hit the boards very often. I don't see what might be causing the need to constantly login. I just came to the site to run a a monthly backup and I was already logged in. It's likely a browser/cookie issue. Is it still happening?

Thanks.

Forums upgraded from phpBB 3.2.5 to 3.2.7

I've just upgraded the forums from phpBB 3.2.5 to 3.2.7. Please post here if you encounter any issues. Sometimes users will have to login again following an upgrade, and things could be a little slow for the next few hours while the cache is rebuilt.

500 errors

There was an issue with the forums that started within the past 48 hours. It was preventing people from drilling down past the first screen of the forums (users would get a 500 error when accessing individual forums). I believe I have resolved the issue, although I'm not sure what caused it to begin...

Re: Forums upgraded from phpBB 3.2.4 to 3.2.5

I didn't do anything to fix it so possibly a temporary glitch on the server or maybe a browser setting issue. If it keeps happening, please let me know.

Re: Check your shortcuts/bookmarks...

I had to fix the emailed link format when I first made changes, but the links that I received for your post (as an example), were in the correct format and I did not require me to login to see the above post. Did you receive recent email notifications that had this issue? Would you mind PM'ing me th...

Re: PhotoBucket post repairs

You're welcome. For the Avatar, click your name at the top right, click "User Control Panel", click "Profile", click "Edit avatar". Then you should be able to delete and upload a new photo. They don't make that one easy to find. Note that I did not attempt to recovery any avatar images from Photobuc...

Check your shortcuts/bookmarks...

Please make sure any shortcuts/bookmarks you have to the forums use the newer, secure "https" vs the older "http":
https://www.vintagethunderbirdclub.net/phpBB3/

This should help resolve issues with your login/session not being saved (if you use that feature).

PhotoBucket post repairs

I was finally able to write the code needed to repair links for the posts where I was able to recover PhotoBucket images. I was not able to recover all images (e.g., where a PhotoBucket account was deleted), but I was able to recover a lot of the images (back in July) and repair the posts (tonight)....

Inefficient repair of a convertible top

I've been trying to hunt down a convertible top gremlin since October (https://www.vintagethunderbirdclub.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15573). An hour here and an hour there, but was determined to get things working this weekend. Had power at the 60A circuit breaker & at the smaller breaker in the...
