Pro night photos

Post by Ozzy351 »

I recently had some night time shots done of my '61 HT. The shots were taken at 9.30pm and the sky was pretty dark at the time but the time exposure makes everything look entirely different. The young guy who took the shots (Shane Dixon of 'Ignition Images') only had a digital camera on a tripod and a portable, battery operated soft light mounted in a 2' square umbrella like shade box. He then set the camera going and walked around the car highlighting it with the light box.

I think the images are pretty cool, especially the ones with the see through bonnet (hood) and the side view in the alleyway which looks an ad for the "New for 1961 Thunderbird". The shoot took around 90 mins and didn't cost a fortune either . I hope you enjoy the photos.

Ozzy

Do you think young Shane would be up for a road trip across the pond Ozzy? Tell him we have beetless burgers and great beer here! :occasion5:

Since buying my '62 I have debated whether to have a professional photo shoot done; based on your excellent results I think I will go ahead and do it.
Currently Birdless....we'll see how long that lasts!

I love the shots with the the engine appearing thru the hood
A 66 Thunderbird is cool. A Sapphire Blue 66 is a beautiful car. The 428 engine completes the package.
