Rubber Hoses on back firewall?

I bought my dream car last summer, 1966 Town Landau. I have looked in all my books/internet but cant find out what the two rubber hoses are for, coming off my firewall.

Vacuum lines maybe?

yea I have to agree, looks like someone cut the heater core hoses going into the car. Check and see if you have a couple hoses looped in your engine bay.
