Rear carpet extension for a 57

Has anyone added the rear(non-original carpet in a 57? If so, what was the procedure?

I bought it, but I haven't installed it yet. Hopefully, we'll hear from someone who has. Photos would be nice, too.

My car had a really nice full set of carpet in it when I got it but it was worn, dirty, and possibly not quite the correct color. I bought new carpet and in the photo you can see the new lighter color carpet on top of the old carpet. I pulled the old carpet out to clean up the floor, etc but I put the old, like new, rear pieces back in along with the sides of the old carpet in the front because the new carpet had no provisions to be "trapped" under the door sill cover.
