Noise supressor on Constant Voltage Regulator
Learned another new thing today. My ‘62 did not have this, but when replacing my original constant voltage regulator with a solid state version, I found this little device. According to Don at The Bird Nest, it’s a noise supressor for the CVR to prevent static interference with the AM radio. Mine is inop anyway, so I did not install it with the new CVR.
Re: Noise supressor on Constant Voltage Regulator
When I replaced the CVR on my 61 I was told by the builder of the new digital CVR that I would not need the noise suppressor. Good thing, because it fell to pieces during removal.

Apparently you need it even less if your AM radio doesn't work!
