66 t-bird front brakes

Post by methos76 »

yes I had my brake pads replaced on the front and it seems as though my wheels don't spin freely, the pads are dragging is there a way I can get more brake pressure to the back than the front and why are my pads dragging. first time I took notice to the brake calipers on this car, different looking for sure

Most likely the piston seals have swollen with age and not retracting like they should. Could also be collapsed hoses or faulty m/c seal but start with the piston seals.

I should also have added that when you get the pistons out you may find they are so corroded you will have to get new ones - at least that's what I found.
