...attach the bird emblem to the (exterior) mirror housing of my ‘65 hardtop?
I have new parts, sourced from one of our supporting vendors. Yes, I see that
the 3 pegs/pins sit in the matching holes in housing, but then what? Various
manuals don’t seem to show any attaching hardware. Thanks in advance
for your thought and your help.

Re: How do I ....?
Probably not the most kosher way to do it, but you could always JB the pegs. I'm sure someone here knows the proper way.

Re: How do I ....?
I took this to show the wasp nest but you can see there are no clips that hold the emblem (that I can see). good luck, Bob C

Re: How do I ....?
Another option is 3M two sided tape like the stuff used to hold modern car emblems on.
Great stuff - I use it all over the place.
Or even a dab of silicone.

Re: How do I ....?
Only thing is the mirror and the Bird are not of the same curvature per Paul's post so the 2 way tape will have marginal surface contact points. Plus it possibly will be seen.
Think Paul's way is the better way.

Re: How do I ....?
Agree, I think two-way tape wouldn't be a long term application you could trust for exterior. The JB Weld approach I took several years ago has held up like the JB Weld promise; it looks like one piece construction. That was Aug. 2015. More serious point Wally makes is the mirror surface is contoured and definitely not flexible whereas the emblem is flat...and a little bit flexible. Good luck! Re: How do I ....?
Once I popped the pegs into the holes, spring pressure seems to hold it in place
