what floor mat color for turquoise interior 1963?

hey gang.

i have med/light turquoise interior code 57.

wondering what color the original floor mats might have been.

i'm looking at the currently available options for bullet birds from Mac's and Larry's, the closest i see
is Blue which is seems too dark, and "Turquoise" which looks like dark Green.
neither seems right!

what's more, the 64-66 Turquoise mats look like the best color match... but of course, it's a different cut.

what to do...?

Go with the turquoise mats for '61-'63. Trust me - it's what I have in my hardtop, which has a turquoise vinyl interior.

thanks Alan. do yours look more like 'green' than 'turquoise' or 'aqua'?

i've seen those terms applied to what looks like the same green mats. the format looks correct though.

i'm revisiting this, and am seeing conflicting images over a few of the oft-used Bird supplier sites.

It's been over 15 years since I got them. Probably from The Bird Nest.

I got a set from Larry's a few months ago. They're listed as turquoise. They look very dark green in the photos and even in person. I even called them thinking I was sent the wrong color, but as soon as you put them in the car, they look like they go well with the 77 code turquoise interior in my '63.

I went with the turquoise mats from Larry's. I had recently replaced all my carpeting with black, so the contrast is really nice. A much better look (to me) than turquoise on turquoise.

thanks, guys. nice photo, Chris - your interior is looking sharp! you're right - they look a lot different in your car than they do in the sample photo. i was gonna make the hour drive to Larry's to have a look, now i feel like i don't have to, thanks! although i'm always open to a reason to get out of the house these days...

mine is a 77 code turquoise, where the seat edges are not dark, but looks more like turq. i think our middle inserts are the same light blue color.

Thank you for the compliment... Still lots cleaning to do and lots of chrome to polish out. I haven't had a chance to test what cleaners won't damage the lacquer on the aluminum trim.

If it makes any difference, my car has the same 77 code, but the prev owner did the seat covers in the full vinyl. I don't think it's leather, but its way softer than the vinyl in my '55 and I think the leather was single color, not two tone. The rest of the interior should be the same as yours.
