First off, you have ATF confused with Brake Fluid. DOT 3 brake fluid is what's commonly used, but has to be flushed out after a few years as it absorbs moisture, leading to corrosion in the brake's hydraulic system. DOT 5 is a silicone-based fluid that doesn't absorb moisture but often times is credited with a softer pedal feel. Search the VTCI Forum's archives for more on this topic. In fact, most all of your questions have probably been addressed in the past, so as the saying goes, "Search" is your friend.

PS fluid and trans fluid = Type F, same for both.
Just peek at the dipstick and the inside of the PS reservoir first to make sure there's a red fluid in there already (other folks have had surprises).

Allan Pretty well covered the brake fluid above I use the DOT 5 Silicon but if you are going to change you must flush the DOT 3 from the system with Denatured Alcohol. These two can not be mixed.

I also use distilled water with antifreeze. No more iron, calcium ,clorline in the water. Stays nice and clean

I recall doing that distilled water with antifreeze and with the Battery. Thanks for the reminder.
