AC compressor valve source?

Post by jhenry »

I have a leaky shut-off valve on my 65's AC compressor and have not seen these offered by any of the usual vendors. Does anyone know of a source for this part? I'm trying to get the car ready for the long trip to New Orleans but due to our extended winter in WI I may be running out of time!

I dont know if this will help, but my mechanic did a bypass with the vacuum hoses that is very simple. It changes the system from AC to heat by just changing 2 hoses. Its a temporary fix to get you by?
Its Steve Mills Racing in Colo Spgs Colo. 719-578-9288. Tell him Frank with the 66 bird sent you. Be nice to him because I need to continue using him.

Thanks Franklin, but I would really like to get the system back up and running. It worked great last summer after having it recharged, but I knew there was a small leak at the valve that would have to be addressed this season.
