After market gauges

Post by Jaylan_Bates »

Would any of you guys know where to get some after market gauges for these birds. I haven't been able to find any and I've only seen one 64 with digital gauges , and I definitely don't want universal because it always calls for modification. Thanks

Here's what I did for 2 1/16" autometer gauges. Remove old and glue in a 1/4" slice of 2" PVC in the bezel. I had to hot glue the Gage's into the bezel because space is tight but hot glue is easy to remove if needed. I also had to extend the wires and run a new wire for the volt gauge.

Do you happen to remember what particular brand and model of the after market gauges you used. I just purchased a 1964 hard top.

They look great and keep with the styling of a classic car.

When I just recently got my 65 Flairbird, it had Sunpro gauges in it. Looks like they are available at most chain part stores, like Pep Boys and Autozone
