Stove

I got them from Auto Crafters they had a lot of decals that J.O. was not reproducing, do not believe that they are in business anymore.

Do you happen to have an unused one? If so, and if you would relinquish it, I would be able to get them into production.

Jim Mills graciously sent a reproduction decal, for me to have reproduced. Do you think the template would be more accurate for me to use?
I'm planning on doing about ten of these, and offering them at gift pricing to the community.

Jim also sent me an original Radio Noise Suppressor Tag, the little red posterboard, stapled, wire flag. To attempt an accurate reproduction.

Also, Scott Logan and I are doing 1967 model year (blue background), CORRECT 390 and 428 CID Decals.

And finally, if I can find a screen printer (will need to be outside California) who is willing to print on paper, I will be doing CORRECT re-pops of the Caution Fan decal, in two styles.

Send me your email address and I'll send it along to you. It's set up for standard Avery labels. You can decide.

I've compared an original red suppressor tag against a repro and it seems pretty darn accurate to me and not worth trying to improve upon, though I'm sure it could be done. I'm kind of picky, so I've been told.

There was a fellow in the Midwest who was printing fan decals (advertised in the Scoop) and they were almost a perfect reproduction; the orange was shade duller than an original, but you would have to see it side by side with an original to know the difference. He had them made from a matte finish vinyl that looked like paper, but was much more durable. Unfortunately he passed away last year and his supplier went with him. I've tried to have several local printers reproduce it for me, but everyone I talked to said they couldn't do it. If you find someone I can supply an NOS label - I have a hundred or so of them. I've applied them to my cars, but because they are paper, they soon get damp, shrink/wrinkle, and start to look shabby. Looks fine until I take it outside of the climate controlled garage, then quickly go downhill.

Stove, I would be interested in any decals that you would be reproducing. Only for a 63 year though.

Does anyone make the check valve itself? I assume it was metal instead of plastic. Thanks

No, there are no repops, and yes it is metal with a rubber check popper inside. Originals are very difficult to find now - I actually had an NOS unit that went with the sale of my 63M SR, and that was the only one I've ever seen. The Thunderbird suppliers don't even have the later Ford replacement anymore. Dorman, as well as others, makes a functional plastic version.

These are all done, ready for delivery. They turned out fantastic.

Terms: Send me an SASE with one US dollar in it, you will receive two of the Check Valve Decals.
They will be "connected" to each-other at the ends with perforations, just like the original decals from the assembly line.

PM me for the address to send the envelope.

Out-of-country (USA) requests will be dealt with accordingly, just PM me.
