Alternator bolt stuck

Post by tbirdmike63 »

Hey everyone, im trying to get my original alternator off, the top bolt is seized in the head, I've sprayed pb blaster, but since the bolt is covered by the spacer I don't think it's getting to where it should be, any tricks to getting it out of there without breaking it? Thanks

Heat expands take it offf with the engine hot.
Work it back and forth if possible. Of all the
Pentrating oils WD40 I think works as good as
Anything. Soak the heck out of it. Heat the
Block with a torch some. Don't get impatient.
Walk away have a beer and reapply. Look
At it tomorrow.
