This week end (May 6th)a small contingent of our club members Carolinas Classic Thunderbirds attended the Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance in Pinehurst, NC. Weather was real iffy to start but the sun came out and it was a wonderful day. This is was my 3rd year in the Fairway club and 4th year in attendance. Great cars, great show.
On Display was the prototype 2002 Thunderbird with the full Jaguar supercharged engine and running gear. Red with black top.
Also the Best of Show was a beautiful tan-bodied 1925 Rolls-Royce commissioned by Howard Hughes at the age of 20.
