Anyone ever had a sticking parking brake.
When I apply the hand brake it seems to stay stuck on until I reach under the car and pull the arm that the cable is connected to, kinda like there may be a worn section in the lever. Do I just need to replace parts, use a heavier spring or grease it up... any thought what I should try first.

I would lubricating first,to see if that helped. Easy fix.

Re: Sticky parking break.
Thanks, I planned on getting under there and wire brush the mechanics and grease the pivot points. I was not sure if when they start to stick if that was a sign that something needs to be replaced. Ok, I'll start by cleaning and lubing.goldwinghg wrote:I would lubricating first,to see if that helped. Easy fix.

Definitely clean and lube all the parts, including the handle mechanism.
If that doesn't help, check the springs at the backing plate to see if there is a problem
