Inner Cowl Wiper Cover Question-Color?

Post by Tbird100636 »

I could not find this in the 64-66 OFS. I know the inner cowl was painted flat black near the cowl screen vents, but what color is the cover plate that goes over the wiper motor supposed to be?

Semi-gloss/dull black is what I would expect to find. One thing I just found out recently in parting out my low-mileage '63 parts car is that the wiper motor was painted black. It stands to reason that this would be blacked out to hide it under the cowl panel openings.
