Rear Deck Top Wear

Post by modelamike »

Is there a product available to lay down on my rear deck to prevent the top rubber from my soft top or hard top causing wear marks in my rear deck paint finish?
I thought I had read about a clear plastic material being available from one of the parts suppliers being mentioned in a forum note, but I have not been able to relocate this subject in a forum note.
If you have any information about this product or an additional solution to the problems of top marks on the rear deck I would appreciate your input.

Casco has the item your looking for. I put it on last year and so far it seems to work. It is larger than needed so i trimmed it down a bit. I think it was about $20. Good luck. Jerry

I always use one of these under the hard top. If it's cold, I usually have to warm the vinyl up with a hair dryer to get the wrinkles out before I put it on the car.

I'd like to see someone make these out of silicone.
