Oh and do yourself a favor, if you don't have them already, get yourself a set of fitting wrenches.

I was planing to put a drain in the bottom of the accumulator and I found this nifty drain with a lanyard.

Like a dork I forgot to show you guy the finished steering wheel.

Oh and yes I put metal flake in the paint.

NOV: If I understand you correctly, it is the original wheel, beat up by the sun and weather in general. Filled the cracks with epoxy putty and primer surfacer.

Wet ?sand with some 6 and 800 grit. Black omni base coat and I use UPOL clear urethane with the metal flake. Hope that answers your question .

I'm curious.....wouldn't it be better to enclose the entire sub chamber rather than just have a fiberglass wall?

NOV: You have a good point. If I understand the question, you are thinking why not make a MDF solid box. Well the fiber glass, at the right thickness is strong enough to take the vibration, if you do not over whelm the volume of the "box" with the designed pressure of the sub. With all number being relatively close IE internal area , and the amount of air that the speaker moves, Ill be in good shape.

I will put up some pics with the enclosure in the voids on both sides of the trunk. Just an added note: I am trying to maximize the space in my trunk.

While I wait ill put in sound deadening. Tip for you guys . Don't go out and buy Dynamat. Go to LOWES and pick up Peel and Seal. Its cheaper, just put down two layers.

I strolled over here from the 64-66 forum, and Im amazed...Im going to hang around here more often!

I noticed you don't have water trap on those compressors...I thought I saw one in one of the early photos...

And sorry to ask this question again, but Im looking to bag my 66 and Im curious why after running into problems with getting lift in the rear you didn't put the bags over the axles - any input is appreciated...I was planning on putting mine over the axle, and would like to hear about any pros or cons you found when considering it

6t6: Welcome! You may have seen a trap in a pic that I have cut and pasted. My system is on an angle so if there is any water generated by the two compressors, it will flow downhill to the accumulator (tank) and i will drain it periodically. As far as the bag brackets not being on top of the axle, thats just how the kit came from Airride Tech. It will most likely change if and when I go 4link. Hope you dont get too board with my rambling.

-I assumed you were planing to drain the water through the plug on the bottom...

Never experienced it myself but I'm told the Peel and Seal is different from Dynamat. Is it true or is it just marketing hype?
